HealthFest 2025 was more than an event — it was a community-wide movement dedicated to improving heart health and reducing high blood pressure across Staten Island. Created through a partnership between the Staten Island Borough President’s Office, NYU Langone Health, and CleanCut Health, HealthFest brought together families, local leaders, healthcare providers, and nonprofit partners for a summer of screenings, education, wellness activities, and community engagement.
High blood pressure remains one of the most pressing health issues facing Staten Island. HealthFest launched a coordinated borough-wide initiative to tackle this challenge head-on, with one ambitious goal:
Measure the blood pressure of 5,000 Staten Islanders by March 2026.
Throughout the summer, HealthFest delivered free screenings, hands-on health education, family-friendly activities, and culturally relevant outreach designed to meet people where they are — in neighborhoods, parks, food distribution sites, and community centers.

HealthFest hosted a series of events and activations across Staten Island with the goal of making preventive care more accessible, more engaging, and more community-driven.
Residents received free, confidential blood pressure checks performed by clinicians and community health workers.
Attendees learned about risk factors for hypertension, nutrition tips, lifestyle changes, and where to access affordable care across Staten Island.
Families participated in youth wellness activities, healthy eating demonstrations, games, and community challenges all centered around better heart health.
HealthFest featured local leadership, healthcare educators, and NFL alumni who encouraged residents to stay proactive about their health.
To increase participation, HealthFest introduced a community incentive program that runs throughout the entire campaign:
Anyone who completes a blood pressure screening and submits their information is automatically entered to win.
Using CleanCut Health’s digital tools, participants were also able to check in, track their screenings, and receive follow-up reminders — turning one-time interactions into consistent health engagement.

HealthFest 2025 served as the official kickoff for Staten Island’s borough-wide blood pressure screening drive. After the summer activations, screenings continue at locations including EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care Centers, CHASI centers, food pantries, senior centers, and partner sites across the borough.
The community is encouraged to keep the momentum going by visiting participating locations for free blood pressure checks and automatic entry into wellness raffles.
Together, we are building a healthier future for Staten Island — one screening at a time.
